Busy

We have been really busy around here. It really is no more than usual but it seems like it. We had out last night of co-op for the semester monday night. It was fun. We all had supper together and then some of the classes has presentations to do. Delana’s manners class did some chants they had learned.

Here is a picture of Delana last week doing her home economics. She learned to use the toaster and made cinnimon toast. When Sherman and Inez where here this past weekend she got to make them some for breakfast. She thought that was really great. This week she learned about cracking eggs and using the stove. She made scrambled eggs for lunch.

Short update

Nothing new to post really. Kyle is still sick but only has a low fever and still coughing alot.  I am really hoping he will be better tomorrow since we have a haircut and speech appt. He missed speech tuesday because he was sick. I guess if he is still sick tomorrow we will just miss this week totally of speech since she is booked already. I am just ready for him to get better.

I started trying to figure out what we needed for 1st grade today.  Not that I pan to get it now but just figuring out what we need so maybe I can find it cheap online somewhere. I have some of it already.

Rather Large purchase

We have been wanting to get a bigger vehicle for some time now and I have been studying them online. Yesterday we just went and looked at a couple to decide what we wanted to get later on. We ended up buying one! LOL It was rather sudden. We found a 2004 Honda Odyssey. It was a fully loaded one with a build in dvd player, automatic sliding doors you can open from the remote and the drivers seat. It was way cool. Low miles and great price. We liked the look of the newer models starting in 2005 but the 2004 was alot cheaper. I feel so weird driving a so much bigger vehicle now. It gets about 25 mpg. Not bad for a van.

We went to the Mayborn Museum today and took Ryan and Meredith. The kids had a blast. Kyle started feeling bad while we were there He now has fever and started sounding hoarse and coughing like Delana was doing last week. Looks like I will be in with a sick one for a few days unless he is fever free tomorrow. Delana was sick for about 5 or 6 days with fever so I am hoping he will have a short go of it.

Cake for Allison’s 13th birthday

I just finished this for Allison’s birthday.  My first attempt at this kind of cake. I am sure glad they aren’t to picky because it doesn’t look the best.  I would say this theme fits her to a T.

Delana’s new look

Both of her top teeth were loose and one was alot looser than the other. So I pulled it and then I felt the other one and I guess working and pulling the first one made the other one so loose it was ready to come out. So I pulled that one too. She will be sporting a new look for awhile. She started crying afterwards and said that Zane was going to laugh at her because she looked funny. It made me feel bad she was crying because she thought she looked funny. I told her she looked cute and like she lost her top teeth and they would come back.

A Date!

Last night Curtis asked Meredith to come watch the kids and he took me on a date!  It was really nice. We haven’t done that in awhile. We went to Logans. Then I exchanged some shoes at the mall and we went to Wal-mart. 

This morning Kyle had speech and Curtis took him and then took him to work with him for awhile. He is bringing him home on his lunch break. I am thinking Kyle thinks he is hot stuff at work with Dad. We didn’t want to get Delana out since she is still sick so Curtis offered to do that since we had to cancel on speech appt this week with her being sick. We didn’t want him missing a full week since she didn’t have anything else open this week for us to go to.  So with Kyle not here to wake me up I slept until 10:00!!! I haven’t done that in years I don’t think. It was nice though.

Lots of little notes

Last night I started finding little notes from Curtis. This morning I just keep on finding them. I guess he was really busy last night while we were dress shopping.  lol One of the notes was even in code and I had to figure it out.  I have a thoughtful and wonderful husband.

Dreaming of trying on fancy dresses…

Last night all of Jacey’s bridesmaids went to David’s Bridal and tried on dresses.  We tried on so many!  So last night I dreamed about trying on dresses. I would wake up then go back to sleep and dream it again.  LOL

Delana is still sick this morning.  Yesterday she still didn’t feel good but didn’t have fever. She started running fever again last night and still has some this morning. I hate when they kids are sick. I feel so bad for them and feel so helpless to help them.

Sick little girl

Poor Delana is sick this weekend. She is so restless and wants something to do. Hopefully she will feel better tomorrow.

Three more days of co-op and the semester is over.  I will miss co-op but it will be nice not to have to go every week.  Next semester I am supposed to teach 2 classes. I am looking forward to it.

Meredith and I went to Target awhile ago in Temple and found some good clearance things. I love finding really cheap clearance at Target.  I got a few things at Waco one this past weekend.

Danger in my house!

Aunt Deanna got Kyle a rubber band gun on their trip. I have been shot many times this morning! lol He thinks it is great fun to play with and shot the rubber bands at you.  I remember having rubber band gun wars with my brothers when I was younger. We would build forts and then have a war!  It was fun and scary lol.   I will try to remember to get a picture of Kyle with his gun soon and post it.   Off to speech soon….
