Lots of catching up to do

It has been weeks since I have posted. I just haven’t had time lately. I have been making a online book with picture of 2008 and am almost ready to have that sent in and printed out. I love it. It was fun making it as well.

We started co-op again last monday. Since I am teaching 2 classes it is one of the reasons I am so busy lately. I enjoy it though. Today in my cupcake class one of the girls was so cute. She stood by the trash can and had her bag and tip with the leftover icing in and was just loving licking it all out. I wish so much I would have had my camera! 

Kyle is almost finished with speech. He has 2 more weeks and he is finished. He tested out. I am so glad since it had me in town at least 2 times a week. It seems something always came up at least 1 or 2 more days and I am in town those days as well. I think his therapist will test him again in a few months to see if he needs to go back. Just with his age and him doing so well he tested out for now. I am hoping that he will not have to go back though. I will miss his speech therapist though. She is a sweetie and Kyle loves her.

We took the kids to Austin a couple of weeks ago and spent the night for fun. We went to the Austin fun Park and they loved it. I was able to get a few photos of us.  We played putt-putt and rode the go karts and bumber boats. The kids did a couple kid rides. It was cold that night but fun! 

Last weekend Curtis and I went on a short anniversary trip. We went to the Dallas area and stayed 2 days. It was lots of fun.

About 15 hours of sleep!

This is what I got last night. I laid on the couch to read last night after supper and fell asleep about 6:30ish….I finally moved to the bed and kept sleeping. I woke up about 9 am and wanted to go back to sleep again. I made myself get up. I have no idea what it was but something wore me out! 

The kids spent the night with Brianna and Lorien sunday night. They had so much fun (as you can tell in Suzanne pic on her blog)  They were very unhappy about having to leave.

I finally finished getting everything we need for Jacey and Philip’s wedding I think. We have 3 in the wedding so that is alot of stuff to get. I am glad to have it off my mind so I don’t have to worry about it anymore.

I am supposed to go on the 27th and pick up Jenny and the girls from the airport.  They are staying around 2 weeks and then going back home with Gabe.   I will miss the little guy. He is so sweet. Kyle is going to be heartbroken when his buddy leaves. Most weekends Justin and Gabe come here or Curtis and Kyle go there so they are together all the time.

I think we are in for a wild night

We asked Lorien and Brianna to spend the night tonight and my kids are wildly excited. Suzanne said her’s were as well. I am thinking it will be a night to remember. lol

I have been really enjoying the meeting. I can’t believe it is close to the end again though. Every year it seems to fly by.  Yesterday afternoon I had a headache that refused to go away and just kept getting worse so I came home and laid down and didnt’ go last night. Sorry to those that were setting up for the food. I had planned to be there and my head just kept getting worse so all I wanted to do was lay down.

I organized Delana’s closet today and got her room cleaned. We has a trash bag full of trash and one full of things to get rid of.  It is a great feeling that I was able to do that. I had planned to do Kyle’s as well but by the time I finished Delana’s it was time to start supper. I was also able to clean alot in the house. I didn’t get the bathrooms done but managed to get the rest. Hopefully I can do Kyle’s room and the bathrooms tomorrow afternoon.

A sick boy …again……

Today the kids were going to Suzanne’s to play for awhile. Kyle came in my room this morning and said he didn’t want to go. Very strange for him. He loves Lorien! LOL  I noticed he was hot and took his temp. sure enough it was 102.5.  I called the doc and told them this was the 3rd time in 6 weeks. Both times before he was sick a week. I took him in and they said he had puss filled pockets in the back of his throat so they knew he had some kind of infection. They said at this point he didn’t need antibiotics though and he didn’t have strep.  So it is a waiting game for us. He slept alot today and he didn’t have fever a little while ago. I hope it doesn’t turn into another week thing because I am looking forward to the meeting.

Sunday both kids got to go stay the night with Curtis’s parents and then came home the next day. It was a good time for them to go since Delana is off school and Kyle out of speech for 2 weeks. They had alot of fun.

Justin and Gabe came saturday and spent the night with us. I took the kids to a birthday party that was also a cookie decorating party sat. night and they loved it. Gabe was eating lots of icing. lol

I am looking forward to Curtis being off work some this week and next. He said today he might go to Justin’s when he gets off tomorrow though so I may not get to see him much until the meeting starts. I think it depends if Justin comes here or not tomorrow if he goes or not.  Friday I have to do a 5 tiered cake as well as another smaller cake, so I will be super busy this weekend with that and the meeting.

Keeping busy

We have been so busy around here. Feels like we have been in a whirlwind. I have done severals cakes for people and Kyle still has speech 2 times a week plus anything else we have to do we have been just busy. At least I don’t have time to be bored.

We got a new dryer today. It was a little over 2 weeks ago or maybe it was 3 that our old one caught on fire.  I am so thankful I have a clothesline to hang the clothes out but on very cold days or dreary days I just have been having clothes hanging around the house. It works but it will sure be nice to have a dryer again and not have to worry about the weather.

Dryer Fire excitment and some pics of kids

Today I turned my dryer to the setting I wanted and started putting clothes in. I noticed that it was bright orange in the back!  I wasn’t so worried thinking it was the light somehow coming though until it suddenly got very hot in the dryer!  I was telling Delana I think the dryer is on fire!  I called Curtis and no answer so I called the office and told Melissa I needed to talk to him it was an emergency. When I told him he said unplug it…duh why didn’t I think of that lol.  Anyway I finally got it unplugged and all was well. No idea how it caught on fire but we will be dryer shopping now.   After it was all over I was thinking why did I call Curtis?!?!  What could he do 30 minutes away. lol I guess it was just me panicking. |I sure hope my house never catches on fire I will probably call him before I remember to call 911. LOL

Gabriel is staying with Justin for about 5 weeks or so. He came to our house yesterday and Justin is coming friday. It is very exciting here and LOUD!  I have no idea what I would have done if Kyle would have been twins. Here is a picture of them being silly.

Our trip to the Coast

We had alot of fun at the coast. It was the kids first time to go and they loved it. The weather was awesome and they got to play alot on the beach.  Here are a few pictures.

The kids got wet and then found sand dunes to roll down. It was a mess but they had a blast!

As you can see we had fun. Unfortunately friday night Kyle woke up and got in bed with me and he was burning up. So we left early saturday morning since he was begging to come home. He and I are getting to stay in today and hoping he gets better soon.

Noise Pants

I just had to share this. Last night after I gave Kyle a bath I was putting clothes on him. He got upset and said “Mommy I want to wear the noise pants!”  I said the “What???” He said “Noise Pants” he then dug in his draw and pulled out some windpants! It was so cute. He walked around yesterday evening walking fast in his noise pants just to show people they made noise! lol

I think I am going cross eyed

I have been looking online for about 5 hours today for Delana’s flower girl dress for Jacey’s wedding. She isn’t sure what she wants but has the style so I have been lookiing for style’s then looking for cheap ones. Anyway I am sick on looking. I can tell you about many styles now. lol

Singing tonight

Tonight is our monthly singing at church. I always look forward to this night. After the singing we are having our hamburger cookout. I had to go get my buns and meat after church this morning and Curtis took me out to eat at Jonny Carinos. It was really good. Then he took us to Baskin Robbins. We had out A+ card and was able to get stuff for really cheap. The kids thought that was a blast!

We have had a super busy weekend. Friday night was Lorien and Rohans birthday party. I did the cake for that so my day friday was busy working on that and getting housework done.  Saturday morning I went and helped Melissa set up for the Brazos company picnic. That night we had the picnic. It was inside the H.O.T. coliseum and they had volleyball, face painting, a guy drawing us and doing it cartoon style (no idea what they are called), there was also a huge air slide and jumping thing that also had a slide there. The kids loved it.
